5 Confessions- Raw and Real

I wrote a post Confessions of 2015 in January. I have now added my take on some of these after being on a deeply spiritual journey the last 8 months.

Confession #1 (January 2016)– Even though I had my most successful year yet in my business I was extremely unhappy in many areas of my life during 2015. I have come to the end of 2015 and I confess that this was a really challenging year emotionally, physically and mentally.

In January 2015 I made a RADICAL decision to upheaval my ENTIRE life. There was a stirring in my soul and I made some tough decisions this year and I want to share some of the lessons I have learned. Although I was enjoying increasing success, I felt like something was missing. I had shut myself down, I felt overwhelmed.

I had promised myself that this year would be a year of Adventure and Evolving yet all I wanted to do was scream and cry and LET GO!

Confession #1 (September 2016): I have been traveling for 18 months. I have been all over the WORLD. Yes, I have evolved. Yes, I have found Adventure. AND YES- I am FUCKING tired! Tired of not having a home. Tired of all the deep personal and spiritual growth. Tired of the LESSONS. Making myself TIRED was the ONLY way I was able to SLOW down and finally take care of ME. I am more open, loving, and vulnerable than I have ever been. I also learning to redefine what HOME means to me. I no longer have the fairy-tale I thought I would so I am creating a NEW ONE.

Confession #2 (January 2016)– I even thought about giving up my business and getting a JOB, wasn’t it easier when I was in my 20’s making over a million! I began to doubt if living my purpose was even POSSIBLE. I was in my head, I was thinking, contemplating and I had completely disconnected from my source and higher self. I couldn’t figure out how to run my team properly or get the things done I wanted. I felt like I was spinning my wheels somehow I was able to keep things going.

Confession #2 (September 2016)– I didn’t have to give up my business because it gave up on me! In the middle of my 2nd FAILED launch of the year, I realized I was DOING something wrong. So I STOPPED. I was in Europe when my Chief Operations & Awesomeness Officer went MIA (and no I don’t mean she went to Miami!) in the middle of my “How to Book 5 Speaking Engagements in 30 Days” program. In a panic, I got very little sleep for the first few days and then I gave up and gave in. I had enough money to survive till I got back home and I would figure it out then. I PUT ME FIRST and decided that I MUST change the WAY I do business.

Confession #3 (January 2016) AND I was unhealthy! I was drinking more, exercising less and my skin condition was in full rapid breakout and I was pretending that everything was OK! I had chronic re-occurring injuries that wouldn’t go away NO MATTER what healing modalities I tried. I was ignoring the much deeper message!

Confession #3 (September 2016) I am HEALTHY! I feel fucking fantastic. My body no longer hurts, my hands are great AND I am getting OUTSIDE every day. I have found the secret to “having it all”. YES- I can be a powerful CEO, International Speaker, Mother, Lover AND be healthy, peaceful, and happy.

Confession #4 (January 2016)– Somewhere along the way I had lost my voice. I had stopped following my purpose and saying what I needed both in my personal life and in my business! I was waking up in panics every other morning. I was angry. I mean really fucking angry! At myself, at my partner, at my business. I felt NO support and I wasn’t supporting myself. My heart would skip a beat as I was trying to figure out how I was going to keep everything up.

Confession #4 (September 2016) Not only had I lost my voice. I had stopped listening to my INTUITION and my ego was running the show. In 2015 – I left my relationship of six years. I hired a coach that was unable to show me anything, got sick and disappeared. I left the stability of having a “home” when I packed everything up to go on the road.

So in 2016 I got quiet and started listening again. I found my voice and how to communicate my needs. BUT I have CRIED MORE this year than any other year I can remember. I am grieving the loss of many things including my own identity because I had to let her go to become ME. When you ask to live an awakened life you will get thrown repeatedly into the FIRE to be tested, to journey into yourself, to feel your truth. IT IS NOT EASY. But it is worth every moment.

Confession #5 (January 2016)- My business was bleeding money and more was consistently going out than was coming in. I was in a whirlwind of CHAOS and FEAR! Wasn’t this all supposed to get EASIER.

Confession #5 (September 2016)– I am done with all the DOING, FORCING, and pushing to create. I stepped into a DEEP FREEZE that started in January and has lasted for 8 months. I have decided to make no rash decisions, to let spirit lead and wait to see what the outcome is. I am back and deciding how I will change my focus in my business. This time I am NOT thinking about quitting and getting a JOB I am thinking about how I can serve my tribe more coming from a place of PEACE & EASE. This led me to giving away a month of coaching.
