Fear grips us again. I NEVER watch the news. I stopped watching the news around seven years ago. This week we have been barraged with devastating news and as I saw the feeds run past on my Facebook I went to the news briefly then I meditated and prayed.
The largest massacre in US history. The letter from the Stanford rape survivor. The young singer gunned down. Then the outrage begins. The slander and slurs of a race. Its like a falling spiral one fear leads to another and the wheel keeps turning. It is time for a rev-soulution. A time for reckless LOVE. A time to look at the truth. WE ARE ALL ONE. What you do to my sister you do to me.
One of the paradigms that I speak, coach, and teach on is
HOW YOU DO ONE THING IS HOW YOU DO EVERYTHING.
I have spent the last 15 months traveling the United States sharing my story on stages. I have done shamanic journeying and healings. I have spoke about perfectionism and love. I have met thousands of entrepreneurs, healers, light workers and ordinary yet extraordinary women and men. I have seen lives transform before my very eyes and I have seen the pain and the triumph.
The one thing I have noticed during my travels is an underlying theme. EVERY person I have encountered. 100% from friends and colleagues to lovers and children, young and old, experienced and new. They all had 1 thing in COMMON.
FEAR
How you do one thing is how you do everything.
They say the #1 fear is speaking even before DEATH. I disagree. I believe the #1 fear is that we are greater than we know.
Enough, if something from our hands have power
To live, and act, and serve the future hour;
And if, as toward the silent tomb we go,
Through love, through hope, and faith’s transcendent dower,
We feel that we are greater than we know. |
William Wordsworth
Our society has taken this FEAR and shoved it on countless lives that have suffered for this fear. We do it EVERYDAY to ourselves. We fear the risk, the failure, the success. This fear has suppressed LIVES for all of time.
I have seen so many posts this week on Facebook about this fear and suffering. What about this group or that group? What about this race or this incident. WE ARE ALL AFFECTED! How? Let’s talk about the 50% of the entire population that has seen more suffering than anyone else.
1 in 3 WOMEN worldwide experience violence.
No other statistics come close.
It is time to STAND and become the storm.
